Heather Harrison
In the 1960s I trained as a graphic designer at Ravensbourne School of Art & Design and Central School of Art. In my very first job at Graphis Press I designed art gallery catalogues for the Gimpel Fils. Later on I worked for Conran and several other major London Design Groups, but painting was always my first love.
My work began selling through an agent in Chelsea during the 1970s, much of which is now in American collections. Always based on observation drawing, I'll work on any subject that captures my imagination, using either oils or acrylics. My main interests are still life, portraits, anything nautical, plus the occasional landscape.
I am an exhibiting member of the Welland Valley Arts Society, Rutland Open Studios and have exhibited at Sands Gallery, Harrogate and Strand Gallery, Aldeburgh.
Commissions are gladly undertaken and cards are available.
